Shaw Resources processes and packages cat litter, primarily under private labels for grocery chains, including Atlantic Wholesalers and Co-op. All of our cat litters are made from 100% natural products. The cat litter products are available scented or unscented, and in a variety of absorbencies. Other additives available include scents, baking soda and de-dusting agents.
We offer two types of litter: montmorillonite and sodium bentonite clay. Montmorillonite is our regular clay litter. We produce both custom blends and premium products, absorbing 100^ of their weight in moisture. Evaporation is very slow, which controls bacterial growth and the resulting odour. Montmorillonite litters are 99% dust free.
Sodium bentonite clay is "scoopable" for easy litter box maintenance. No liners are required. Scooping out the soiled litter on a regular basis reduces bacteria and odour. Additionally, fewer litter tray cleanings are required, and less littler is used compared to traditional clay. Overall, scoopable cat litter provides a healthier environment for you and your pet.
Dedust 89 is a unique blend of natural ingredients that act upon the electrostatic changes of the clay particles, rendering them heavier than air. The result is a perceptively cleaner cat litter with reduced airborne dust and tracking.
Supplementary to its traditional use, cat litter is useful for absorbing liquid and odours in garbage cans, refridgerators abd barbecues, and for providing traction on ice in the winter. When mixed with soil, the littler can prevent compaction and improve water retention in potted plants. Lastly, cat litter can be used for animal cages, or for dog runs and kennels, and for cleaning up small oil spills in the driveway and garage.
