Masonry sand is available in 40kg (88lb) bags at local building supply and hardware stores, or in bulk from Shaw Resources.
Masonry sand can also be used as an excellent absorbent and cushioning layer in dog kennels and horse stalls. As a levelling base under patio blocks and colourstone pavers, dry masonry sand provides flexible, yet firm support. It can also be economical as ice control for large area. Used as an additive for plant soil mixtures, it will not settle or pack. Dry masonry sand will not lump or freeze, making it ideal for winter masonry work.
