As a leveling base under patio blocks and colourstone pavers, dry masonry sand provides flexible, yet firm support. Masonry sand can also be used as an excellent absorbent and cushioning layer in dog kennels and horse stalls. Additionally, It can be used as ice control for large areas. Used as an additive for plant soil mixtures, it will not settle or pack. Dry masonry sand will not lump or freeze, making it ideal for winter masonry work.
Processed from 100% natural brown sand, which is washed and graded to exceed CSA A179-94, Shaw Resources' masonry sand is a first choice of masons and bricklayers. Masonry sand is available in 40kg (88lb) bags at local building supply and hardware stores, or in bulk from Shaw Resources.
